NANS PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRANT URGES EXPEDITE ACTION TOWARDS THE RESCUE OF KIDNAPPED AHAMADU BELLO UNIVERSITY STUDENTS.
A frontline aspirant to the Presidency of the National Association of Nigerian Students NANS; Comrade Alabi Kayode has called on security agencies to make concerted efforts to secure the release of the three students of Ahmadu Bello University who were kidnapped by gunmen along the Kaduna - Abuja expressway.
In a statement released by the Media and Strategic Communications Directorate ALOPAY 4 NANS PRESIDENT, Comrade Alabi popularly known as Able-Alopay, decried the unfortunate incident and called on the police and other security apparatus in the country to make frantic efforts to secure the release of the students. "It is disheartening to hear news of the kidnapping of the students especially at a time when preparations are being made towards the beginning of the new academic calendar. The life and welfare of every Nigerian student should be seen as worth protecting because they are the next generation and future of the country, therefore more efforts should be made towards their safety and welfare allover the country.
Comrade Alabi Kayode therefore condemns the kidnapping in the strongest terms and hereby calls on the Inspector General of police, AIG in charge of the Zone 7 and other relevant commands to step into the issue and restore the freedom of the kidnapped Nigerian students."
