2027: Barr. Anthony Nsugbe Gains Momentum, Secures Ward Endorsement as Consultations Deepen Across Oshimili South

The aspiration of Barrister Anthony Nsugbe for the Oshimili South Constituency seat in the Delta State House of Assembly has received a significant boost, following strategic consultations with the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his Ward, and the local government area.
In a well-coordinated move that underscores his grassroots strength and growing acceptance, Barr. Nsugbe engaged party leaders in Ward 6 and the Oshimili South LGA hierarchy, culminating in his first public endorsement, which was from the ward leadership ahead of the party primaries.
The respected legal practitioner and real estate entrepreneur was accompanied by key members of his campaign team, including Campaign Coordinator, Comrade Sunday Ezinwa, alongside other critical stakeholders.
Addressing party leaders during the consultations, Barr. Nsugbe formally notified them of his intention to contest and emphasised his readiness to offer purposeful, people-driven representation. He noted that his ambition is rooted in a deep understanding of the constituency, having been born and raised in Oshimili South.
“I present myself as a credible alternative to reposition Oshimili South for sustainable growth and development. I understand our challenges, our strengths, and our potential—and I am prepared to deliver the quality representation our people deserve,” he stated.
A key pillar of his vision, he explaine, is youth development through education and digital empowerment. According to him, increasing access to education and equipping young people with digital skills will enable them to compete favourably with their peers across Nigeria and beyond.
Echoing this sentiment, Mr Kelvin Ugboma introduced him, described Barr. Nsugbe as “a young, professional with a clear vision for transformation for our people,” adding that his decision to serve is driven by a genuine commitment to the people.
“He represents a new generation of leadership—competent, accessible, and result-oriented. Oshimili South stands to benefit immensely from his representation,” Ugboma said.
Responding, party leaders at both the ward and LGA levels commended Barr. Nsugbe for his respect for party structure and his loyalty. They described him as a dedicated party man whose emergence reflects the aspirations of many within the party.
The LGA Chairman, Ogbueshi Ogbueshi Dada Okolo, encouraged him to sustain his consultations across all levels of the party while assuring that the leadership would support the emergence of the most credible candidate for the 2027 general elections.
In his ward, the endorsement was unequivocal, with leaders affirming Barr. Nsugbe as “one of their own” and pledging full support for his candidacy.

The consultation meetings attracted a strong presence of influential stakeholders, including former Speaker Rt. Hon. Peter Onwusanya, Hon. Hobobo Onianwa, Vice Chairman of Oshimili South LGA, Prof. Leroy Edozien, and other respected figures.
With growing endorsements, widespread consultations, and increasing grassroots appeal, Barr. Anthony Nsugbe is rapidly consolidating his position as the aspirant to beat as the Oshimili South Constituency APC primaries draw closer.
