Iwaji: Gabriel Ogbechie, Jossy Honnah Pay Homage, As Obi Justin Chukwunonso Nwoko Fetes Idumuje-Ugboko.
The Group Managing Director of Rainoil Limited Dr Gabriel Ogbechie, and Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State (Office of the SSG) Sir Jossy Honnah were amongst the roll call of indigenes of Idumuje-Ugboko and guests who visited the Royal Palace to pay homage and celebrate with HRM Obi Justin Chukwunonso Nwoko, as he commemorated the 2025 Iwaji (New Yam Festival) on Friday, the 26th of September.
Speaking during his presentation to the Monarch, the Group Managing Director of Rainoil Limited Dr Gabriel Ogbechie who was visibly excited to be part of the celebrations expressed his deference and honour for the king, saluting him for his soft and gentle approach to leadership.
In his remarks, Sir Jossy Honnah expressed his happiness at the occasion, while thanking and congratulating Obi Justin Chukwunonso Nwoko for the significance of the celebration.
According to Sir Honnah, " I am here today to celebrate with our King Obi Justin Chukwunonso Nwoko, and pay homage as a son of the soil. This celebration goes deeper than thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest, but also seeks to unite us in brotherly love".
The Executive Assistant To The Governor also went round the Palace compound, dancing, rejoicing and celebrating with the women and youths of the community, before retiring to friends and age-grade members, where the celebrations advanced into the night..
