COMRADE KAYODE ALABI COMMENDS OYO GOV OVER APPOINTMENT OF 27 YEAR OLD INTO CABINET.
Pioneer President of the All Nigeria United Nations Students and Youths Association (ANUNSA) Comrade Kayode Alabi aka Able-Alopay, has commended the Oyo State Government for appointing 27 year Old Seun Fakorede as Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports.
In a statement made available to the press over the weekend, Comrade Alabi; an aspirant to the Presidency of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) said the appointment of young Seun Fakorede was welcome development that defines the administration of Gov Seyi Makinde as youth friendly and proactive.
“The news of the appointment of a 27 year old is laudable and goes a long way in bringing youth emancipation in leadership and governance to a reality. The world over is calling for more involvement of young people into politics, governance administration and mainstream decision making, especially with African societies needing to absorb innovations and contributions from young minds into its projections and estimations for improved living standards.
This development is made more interesting by reason of the Oyo State Governor’s commitment to ensuring that the nomination of young Seun Fakorede scaled through the screening of the State Legislature, despite concerted efforts by naysayers to abort this breakthrough in the advocacy for more youth’s involvement in policy formulation and decision making”
He further urged the newly appointed Oyo State Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports to seize this opportunity to reecho the capability of the Nigerian Youth by working hard in his new role as the number one youth in the state, and to shame detractors who see the young Nigerian as incapable of positive productivity.
“I therefore urge Mr Fakorede to see this opportunity as a platform on which the Nigerian Youth can be seen as proactive and innovative, even as he works assiduously towards finding an effective solution to the issues of youth integration in government policies and programs.
In closing, I call on youths across board to support him as well as other young people who have been chosen to serve in various leadership capacities in the country”
