NANS COMRADE LAUDS OSUN GOVERNOR OVER PROACTIVE STEPS TO TACKLE FLOODING

A frontline aspirant to the Presidency of the National Association of Nigerian Students NANS; Comrade Alabi Kayode aka Able-Alopay, has commended the Osun State Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola for his swift reaction to the issue of flooding which affected parts of the state capital and environs, occasioned by increased rainfall.

In a statement signed by the Media and Strategic Communications Directorate; Alopay For NANS  President, The Soft spoken Student leader said the quick response of the Governor is a positive attribute that informs the people that their pains are felt by the Government.

"I want to commend Gov Oyetola for taking the initiative to visit the areas affected by floods, and for also educating the people on the issues that further worsen the situation brought about by the flooding. The truth is that in the world today, the effect of climate change is being felt by the human race and therefore we must understand that in ensuring the safety of lives and properties from natural disasters such as this, there is need to be fluidity in the relationship between the people and their government. The visit of the governor to the affected areas gives the confidence that there is a good relationship between Osun people and their government"

The Iragbiji born student leader further called on well meaning Osun Indigenes to join hands in contributing towards alleviating the problems caused by Climate change.

"The government can't do all that needs to be done and to this end, I urge well meaning Osunites to partner directly or indirectly with the government towards solving these challenges. I have no doubt that no matter the challenges, the state of Osun will always overcome with laudable results."
