COMRADE ALABI KAYODE COMMENDS THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES FOR PROACTIVE STEPS TOWARDS CORRECTING "ACCEPTANCE FEE" ANOMALY.

Student leader and former ANUNSA National PRO Comrade Alabi Kayode, has commended the House of Representatives for its renewed push and advocacy to end the payment of "Acceptance Fee" by newly admitted students of tertiary institutions across the country.

In a message obtained through his campaign media department,  the Presidential Aspirant of the National Association of Nigerian Students expressed happiness and optimism at the recent development; he said " indeed commendation must go to the House of Representatives for finally doing something to address the anomaly of "Acceptance Fee" payment, which has become a regular amongst tertiary institutions across the country. The reality of what acceptance fee stands for is exploitation, and I'm happy that it would finally be addressed.

The burden of this unnecessary financial expense on students and parents has contributed to the high illiteracy rate in the country, and as a reformative move from the Federal Legislature we must align and support its elimination.

I therefore call on other arms of government and stakeholders across board to support and join in ensuring that this correction is made in our tertiary institutions, and thereon launch the very much needed reforms to reposition the Educational Sector of the Country".
