COMRADE ALABI KAYODE SPEAKS ON CORONA VIRUS; COMMENDS FG FOR MEASURES TAKEN AND PUMP PRICE REDUCTION.


A Presidential hopeful of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Alabi Kayode has made remarks concerning the recent events in the world and developments in the country.
The former LAUTECH ANUNSA Chapter President in a statement on Saturday the 21st of Match 2020, expressed his solidarity with the rest of the world over the deadly Corona virus infection.
"The World is going through a stretch of uncertainty with the ravaging Corona Virus disease that threatens it's economic, political and social viability.
Since this virus became prominent in China late 2019, thousands have become casualties with the threat of more lingering at the background.
The resulting heavy uncertainty that this brings strikes into the fabrics of society.

Nevertheless, we have seen tremendous efforts to stem the sporadic rise, with our own country Nigeria being rated in positive prominence for its proactive disposition to curtailing the spread.

Indeed we must commend the Authorities that have been involved in this notable feat.
The Federal Government has displayed a mature and meticulous disposition in its handling of the Corona Virus Infection.

Similarly, the Governments of Lagos , Ogun State together with neighboring states deserve commendation for their careful and cautious but timely response to the Emergency Case of the Italian Expatriate."

Furthermore, Comrade Alabi Kayode commended Federal Government for the reduction of pump price to #125.

He said " Also we must commend the sensitivity of the government in taking the initiative to reduce the price of Fuel, especially at this time when the reality of what Corona Virus brings is instability.

In light of this, I therefore urge Marketers to do their part so that the populace can feel the impact of this adjustment."

Comrade Alabi Kayode concluded is statement by calling for concerted efforts to ensure the eradication of Corona Virus, making a Case for the protection of Students and Young Nigerians from the effect of harsh realities.

"I therefore call on other institutions,  multinational organizations cutting across the various sectors of human endeavor to also make conscious efforts to stem the spread and see to the eradication of Corona Virus from our immediate and remote environment, while also looking out for students and youths in the country and creating better standards for them.

PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS DORIS UBOH AS REF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY.

  Honourable Doris Olayemi Uboh MNSE has been appointed as the substantive Rural Electrification Fund Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.   The appointment, effective from January 23, 2025, is for an initial term of four years.   Honourable Uboh, a former member of the House Of Representatives, has been acting as the executive director Rural Electrification Fund ( ED REF) since March 2024 and will now settle into her role following her substantive appointment.   Doris Uboh is a New York-trained Electrical Engineer with years of working experience in the industry.  She was a member of House of Representatives, where she represented Ika Federal Constituency between 2007 and 2011.
