Conflicting Reports Draw Uncertainty over Olu of Warri.
(Ikechukwu Chukwudi, Asaba)
The past few days has seen tension rise as it regards
The Olu Of Warri, Hrh Ikenwoli Godfrey Emiko.
It was first reported that the monarch allegedly died of COVID 19 complications on Monday , barely a week after his fifth coronation anniversary. This was reported by a notable news platform ngrguardian.com
However in a twist, the palace had through both written and video briefings which are making the rounds on social media, debunked the news of the Olu's Death, insisting on his indisposition to the public.
The earlier report indicated that Hrh Ikenwoli met with the late Major General John Irefin, who died earlier this month from COVID - 19 complications too.
Efforts by The Guardian to get comments on the passing of the first class king from top palace chiefs including Ologbotsere ( Prime Minister) of Warri Kingdom, Chief Ayirimi Emami was unsuccessful as telephone calls put across to him went unanswered.
We keep our fingers crossed as we hope to get details about the state of the monarch's wellbeing.
