Delta APC Adjusts Timetable For Local Government Elections.



The State Chairman of the APC Delta State Caretaker Committee Prophet Jones Ode Erue, after consultation with other Party leaders, has approved the extension of time for the collection of free nomination forms by aspirants. 

This is to ensure that Party members with political aspirations are given the necessary support and encouragement to express their desires and the need of the Party to contest every available seats in the forthcoming Local Government elections. As a result of this extension, the timetable for the conduct of primaries is hereby adjusted accordingly. The new dates are as follows:


1. Collection of Nomination Forms.
Date: Monday 21st-23rd December, 2020.

2. Conduct of Primaries for Councillorship aspirants
Date: Monday 28th December 2020.
Appeals (if any): Tuesday 29th December, 2020.

3. Conduct of Primaries for Chairmanship aspirants
Date: Wednesday 30th December, 2020.
Appeals (if any): Thursday 31st December, 2020.

NOTE THAT screening of aspirants commences Monday 21st-Thursday 24th December 2020

Iwaji: Gabriel Ogbechie, Jossy Honnah Pay Homage, As Obi Justin Chukwunonso Nwoko Fetes Idumuje-Ugboko.

The Group Managing Director of Rainoil Limited Dr Gabriel Ogbechie, and Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State (Office of the SSG) Sir Jossy Honnah were amongst the roll call of indigenes of Idumuje-Ugboko and guests who visited the Royal Palace to pay homage and celebrate with HRM Obi Justin Chukwunonso Nwoko, as he commemorated the 2025 Iwaji (New Yam Festival) on Friday, the 26th of September.  Speaking during his presentation to the Monarch, the Group Managing Director of Rainoil Limited Dr Gabriel Ogbechie who was visibly excited to be part of the celebrations expressed his deference and honour for the king, saluting him for his soft and gentle approach to leadership. PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS DORIS UBOH AS REF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY.

  Honourable Doris Olayemi Uboh MNSE has been appointed as the substantive Rural Electrification Fund Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.   The appointment, effective from January 23, 2025, is for an initial term of four years.   Honourable Uboh, a former member of the House Of Representatives, has been acting as the executive director Rural Electrification Fund ( ED REF) since March 2024 and will now settle into her role following her substantive appointment.   Doris Uboh is a New York-trained Electrical Engineer with years of working experience in the industry.  She was a member of House of Representatives, where she represented Ika Federal Constituency between 2007 and 2011.
