PRESIDENT BUHARI GREETS DAME JUDITH AMAECHI AT 50.

The President lauds the former First Lady of Rivers State for being a strong pillar of support for her husband, who has variously been a two-term Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, two-term Governor of same State, Chairman, Governors Forum, and now two-term Minister of Transportation.

President Buhari submits that without the robust domestic support provided by Dame Judith, the Amaechi persona may not have loomed as large as it does today on the nation’s political landscape.

He wishes the Urban and Regional Planning graduate greater successes in her endeavours as wife, mother, entrepreneur, and strong mobilizer of women, praying for long life and fulfillment on all fronts.

The President also shares the joy of the landmark birthday with family, friends and associates of the Amaechis.

PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS DORIS UBOH AS REF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY.

  Honourable Doris Olayemi Uboh MNSE has been appointed as the substantive Rural Electrification Fund Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.   The appointment, effective from January 23, 2025, is for an initial term of four years.   Honourable Uboh, a former member of the House Of Representatives, has been acting as the executive director Rural Electrification Fund ( ED REF) since March 2024 and will now settle into her role following her substantive appointment.   Doris Uboh is a New York-trained Electrical Engineer with years of working experience in the industry.  She was a member of House of Representatives, where she represented Ika Federal Constituency between 2007 and 2011.
