Set up LGA Elections Campaign Council





The All Progressives Congress(APC),Aniocha South chapter, stakeholders meeting took place today at the LGA Part Secretariat Ogwashi Uku under the leadership of Sir John Ekwuyasi (CT Chairman Aniocha South).

The major features of the meeting were the Registration/Revalidation of the party's membership, billed to commence soon and the Inauguration of the LGA Campaign Council for 2021 Local Government Elections.

Speaking during the meeting, the Chairman said the meeting became necessary, so as to review the preparations towards the upcoming party's Registration/Revalidation which will kick-start in earnest nation-wide and also to fine-tune strategies on how to win the forthcoming LGA election through the Inauguration of the Campaign Team.


The chairman of the party further reiterated the party's resolve and readiness to win the March 6 council elections. He encouraged members of the party to shun petty animosities and antagonism and channel their energies towards winning elections for the party.

Present at the meetiing were Sir John Ekwuyasi, (Caretacare Committee Chairman), Barr. Denis Nwanokwai, Prince Fred Mordi, Sir Felix Ilomechine( Chairmanship Candidate), Prince Sunday Esedebe( Vice Chairmanship Candidate), Chief Chiedu Paul Onwuadiamu, Pst. Norbert. A. Sochukwudinma, Chief Michael Obiorji, Chief Chris Osodi, Comr. Charles Adingwupu( LGA Caretaker Committee Secretary), Mrs. Esther Enemokwu, Chief Ubido, Madam Felicia Iyase, Mrs. Victoria Ihuoma, Mrs. Antonia Keshi, Mrs. Njideka Nwadocheli, Chief J. N. Obah, members of the LGA Caretaker Committee, all Councillorship Candidates but three and party faithfuls in their numbers, drawn from all the wards of the LGA.

Unavoidably absent were Prince Rister Abgabumeze, Prince Andrew Obi, Barr. Joe Asem, Hon. Angela Nwaka etc.

The peak of the event was the presentation of the Chairmanship, Vice and Councilorship Candidates to the party, while the campaign council was inaugurated.

Iwaji: Gabriel Ogbechie, Jossy Honnah Pay Homage, As Obi Justin Chukwunonso Nwoko Fetes Idumuje-Ugboko.

PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS DORIS UBOH AS REF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY.

  Honourable Doris Olayemi Uboh MNSE has been appointed as the substantive Rural Electrification Fund Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.   The appointment, effective from January 23, 2025, is for an initial term of four years.   Honourable Uboh, a former member of the House Of Representatives, has been acting as the executive director Rural Electrification Fund ( ED REF) since March 2024 and will now settle into her role following her substantive appointment.   Doris Uboh is a New York-trained Electrical Engineer with years of working experience in the industry.  She was a member of House of Representatives, where she represented Ika Federal Constituency between 2007 and 2011.
