AHABA TRADITIONAL INSTITUTION RECEIVES AND DRUMS SUPPORT FOR APC CHAIRMANSHIP CANDIDATE.




The Otu Ihaza Asaba has received the Oshimili South APC Campaign Train on Thursday February 4th 2021.

The team which was led by High Chief Prof Leroy Edozien represented by the party acting Chairman,  Ogbueshi Ndudi Umunna,  presented its candidate Engr Juluga Chike Phillip and running mate Mrs Esther Nonye Ahamefule Ajieh to the Otu Ihaza.

Receiving the team, the Onoi Ahaba praised the boldness of the Engr Chike Juluga  and Nonye Ahamefule at challenging the ugly status quo in the local government. 
He thank him for his continued doggedness. He enjoined all the members of the Otu Ihaza and Asaba people to stand behind their son who's eminently qualified. He admonished them to stop taking a laid back disposition to political and administrative affairs of the society.



Speaking on behalf of his campaign team, the APC Candidate Engr Chike Juluga thanked them for the warmth reception despite the short notice of his visit. 
He reminded them that he was on this stage 3  years ago for this same position because he believes that effective development starts from the grassroots.

He stated that his cardinal innovations are to include: Modular Markets across the LGA, 
Modular Healthcare Centers: growing of businesses through SMEs, (which includes but not limited to  fashion designing,  food and drinks distributorship, catering and confectioneries, fishing and poultry, etc) 
Effective and efficient Sanitation, road rehabilitation and revenue drive.
He equally stated that his administration would support the community policing idea in the area of security. He assured that subventions to the traditional institutions in LGA were going to be implemented as regularly as stipulated.

The articulate Engr assured Otu Ihaza of his support for the rebuilding of a deserving Ogwa Ukwu Ahaba.

Reacting,  a red cap Chief in Ahaba. Obi Sammy Ogochukwu called on all Asaba people to support their own in bringing desired development to the LGA.

He stated that the PDP has ignominiously failed the community, that it's time the people pitch tent with the APC in the LGA. He decried the imposition council chair by the PDP on the people and that it's time the people are allowed to chose who will govern them. And that time was now.  


In his remarks, Ogbueshi Ndudi Umunna express his appreciation for the reception and promised that the party APC will be a partner in the progress of the LGA. He also seized the opportunity to call on them to join the party as its registration would begin on Tuesday 9th February 2021.

PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS DORIS UBOH AS REF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY.

  Honourable Doris Olayemi Uboh MNSE has been appointed as the substantive Rural Electrification Fund Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.   The appointment, effective from January 23, 2025, is for an initial term of four years.   Honourable Uboh, a former member of the House Of Representatives, has been acting as the executive director Rural Electrification Fund ( ED REF) since March 2024 and will now settle into her role following her substantive appointment.   Doris Uboh is a New York-trained Electrical Engineer with years of working experience in the industry.  She was a member of House of Representatives, where she represented Ika Federal Constituency between 2007 and 2011.
