APC Strategizes For March 6th Council Elections.

As part of its activities to secure a victorious outing at the March 6th Delta State Local Government Area Council Elections, the All Progressives Congress APC Oshimili South LGA has constituted it's campaign council.

At a strategy meeting of the council which held on Monday 15th February 2021, party chieftains and officials from various wards across the LGA who constitute the inaugurated campaign team, were briefed on the essense of the task before them and deliberations on the path to a victorious outing took centre stage.

Speaking after the meeting, Chairman of the Oshimili South APC Campaign Council, Hon Samuel N. Agili was upbeat and in high spirits about the chances of the Party's candidate Engr Chike Juluga and his running-mate Ms Esther Nonye-Ahamefule on March 6.

Hon Agili, Senior Special Assistant to the Deputy President of the Senate, in an interview with Round-Town Views stated that the aim was to win for APC.


"The task before the campaign council is to ensure that it delivers the party's candidate Engr Chike Juluga and running mate Esther Nonye Ahamefule at the March 9th LGA elections and we are very confident in our ability to do this.

Speaking further, Hon Agili stated that "It is not enough to say that LGA Elections are one sided because delta state belong to us all, irrespective of where you are from.

Governance in Oshimili South LGA has been poor, and as you can see from over the years, there has been little to celebrate about the dividends of democracy. This is why we are working towards an upset and a delivery of our Candidates."

He enjoined Party faithfuls and the general public to identify with the APC at this time of its revalidation and registration of members.

"The good thing is that now the party is carrying out its registration and revalidation exercise and this gives us an opportunity to consolidate and make a genuine move to change the LGA."

Prominent party chieftains from the LGA were at the meeting including Hon Gabriel N. Okpuno, a comsumate politician and former HoA member representing Oshimili South as well as councillorship candidates, party officials and chieftains registering their presence.

The Campaign Council Composition includes:

1. Hon Samuel Agili - Chairman
2. Hon Gabriel Nwike Okpunor Former house of Assembly Member
3. Hon Peter Ojugbana Former House Member.
4. Barrister Ogosi - Secretary to the Campaign Council.
5. Comrade Dumebi Njokanma. LGA Secretary.
6. Mr Anselm Onianwa (Ayaka)
7. Farouk Habib.
8. Ebele keshi.
9. All the Ward chairmen
10. Engr Chike Juluga Chairmanship Candidate
11. Ms Esther Nonye-Ahamefule Ajie Vice Chair Candidate
12. All councillorship candidates etc.

The details of the Campaign Schedule would be made public soon, as preliminary campaign consultation has begun with visits to traditional institutions including the Asagba of Asaba.

Iwaji: Gabriel Ogbechie, Jossy Honnah Pay Homage, As Obi Justin Chukwunonso Nwoko Fetes Idumuje-Ugboko.

PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS DORIS UBOH AS REF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY.

  Honourable Doris Olayemi Uboh MNSE has been appointed as the substantive Rural Electrification Fund Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.   The appointment, effective from January 23, 2025, is for an initial term of four years.   Honourable Uboh, a former member of the House Of Representatives, has been acting as the executive director Rural Electrification Fund ( ED REF) since March 2024 and will now settle into her role following her substantive appointment.   Doris Uboh is a New York-trained Electrical Engineer with years of working experience in the industry.  She was a member of House of Representatives, where she represented Ika Federal Constituency between 2007 and 2011.
