In his remarks the party's candidate Engr Chike Philip Juluga said that he was once again in the race to reset Oshimili South Local Government Area for maximum delivery.

The Petroleum Engineer who hails from Isieke Community Asaba, said that as a son of the soil it was important that he began his campaign with a visit to the Father of Asaba indigenes home and abroad, for his blessings, his advice and support.

He said " as a son of Asaba, I am here to make my quest known to you, however I do not insist on my origin as the reason why I am in the race.
First and foremost, I am a graduate of Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Porthacourt having attended Abu-ato Primary School and St Patrick's College both in Asaba. This makes me more than qualified to lead this LGA as its Chairman.

I believe that we need to Reset the Dynamics of Governance in Oshimili South and this is what has made my campaign about Service and Development.

He emphasized that his second coming to the race was to put more efforts to see that the Council got more from what was ideally possible and hinted on some cardinal areas of his campaign, which includes adopting modular infrastructural development to fastrack revenue generation and ensure that quality projects were carried out.

He said "among my plans for the council is to work towards setting up infrastructures like Modular Markets, Modular Healthcare centres Modular Sports and Entertainment hubs, as well as work towards the standardization of road infrastructure in Asaba and environs within the LGA."

The Asagba in his response, thanked them for their visit, he applauded them for identifying with the traditional institution and urged them to continue in their campaigns by carrying other traditional institutions in the LGA along in their visits.

The Monarch urged them to be strong in their quest to make impacts in the Council and not to be distracted by unnecessary politics.

He said " I wish you well and pray for the success of your aspiration. As you have said in your plans, please continue to keep a cordial relationship with the palace and upon your success, try to act within the ambits of the law."

The courtesy call came to an end with a vote of thanks to the visitors by the Palace Secretary.
