OKOWA'S TARIFF CALLED SHERIFF MUST NOT BE IMPOSED ON DELTANS (OPINION)

The suppression and suffocation of Delta state for almost 24 years now by the PDP's obnoxious and malodorous misrule is miserable and even choking the neighbouring states that are now considering their selves unfortunate to have shared common boundaries with one of the multi-ethnic oil-rich states of the country.

There have been existing precedence of impoverished imposition of impostors as Governors by predating predecessors of predicaments, who had continually handed over the mantles to their cattles to graze and erase every record, after feeding fat from the state's treasury, treacherously.

What has plunged Delta state into this unholy hole of political holocaust and socioeconomic holoprosencephaly is not farfetched.

The roll call of the previous occupants of the State Government House in Asaba, which is made up of a list that is literally littered and locally limited to the People's Democratic Party (PDP), are full of names that exhibited no knowledge of the process of progress and the succession of success in governance. They have been sitting and shifting the seats to themselves and also shielding each other from prosecutions and condemnations. 

Their impunity reign in their ubiquities, up to when their immunities are expired and lacking utilities. 

They have looted and booted Delta to the ground and even with its potentials from providence, the state cannot procure or provide promising socioeconomic prominence. 

A state with a balance alliance with the elegance and fragrance of finance and substance is now a victim of circumstance and hindrance. This is indeed heartbreaking and bellyaching to say the least.

The Power Baton Exchange is been taken and transfered from one stage to another stooge and to another puppet in the string of the same stakeholders.

This practice of Political Power Relay is the cause of developmental delay and waylay of Delta state, which we as Deltans must resist and reject.

As the 2023 General Election knocks at the doors of our collective participations, Deltans are being called upon to pull themselves courageously and harmoniously to cast out the demonic, phantomic and endemic gimmick of the 'surrogated' extended tenure by a predecessor Governor, this time around. 

The Okowa Episode is being premiered and sold to us, but we must not patronize or even accept the invitation to attend such show of sham and shame.

Sheriff Oborevwori, the personal pocket fitted plan of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, must not be accepted, but should be intercepted before it is perfected, otherwise Delta state will be more ridiculed and reduced in all ramifications. 

If a vehicle driven previously by one-eyed men could be damaged by such magnitude of serial head-on collisions, what will be the fate of such automobile, when it is handed over to a blinded and binded Sheriff, whose sight have been mortgaged by the almighty Okowa himself.

The imposition of Sheriff will reposition a tariff that will continue to keep the state inside the pricking pockets of the shrinking and ancient styled tailor-made trousers of Ifeanyi Okowa and this will spell more doom in our boardroom. 

As the incidental cum accidental current Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Sheriff has only succeeded in using the gavel to galvanize loans and more loans at the sneezing and squeezing of Okowa, to the detriment and detronment of our collective welfare as a state. 

With what has been orchestrated and played out so far, it will only take a few Seconds for the mortgaging of the future fortunes of Delta state to be formated and formalized by the prodigal brothers, if we eventually allow the bids of these birds.

The gallivanting of Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa , from one end of the street to another end and from one side of the road to another side, trying to hawk Oborevwori Sheriff round the state, like a rotten and mangled mango in a rusted tray on his head, is "Bad Market" and Deltans should never buy such an unverified, uncertified and unspecified product that lacks marketability and acceptability in all forms and standards.

The Igbo man said that, you don't choose an occasion of lamentation and mourning, over an event of felicitation and merriment. An incomparable, unrivalled and unparalleled alternative to the manipulative and subjective Sheriff as Governor of Delta State, in the person of Obarisi, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege  the incumbent Deputy Senate President, Federal Republic of Nigeria and Delta APC Gubernatorial Candidate, is the man and mandate for our dear state.

His antecedents are too decent in every precept and perception.

Delta state and her citizens have hitherto displayed so much endurance in sufferance and tolerance in abundance.

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, as the Governor that is emerging to succeed Dr Ifeanyi Okowa at 'Osadebe House' this 2023, will take the state from the 'wilderness' to the 'promised land'.

By the special grace of God Almighty, Delta state will get it right, this time around, if they listen to the voice of reasoning and retrospect!
