SUPREME COURT: EBEGBA CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR SHERIFF, COMMENDS SENATOR OMO-AGEGE, TASKS DTSG.
Immediate past Director-General of the National Biosafety Management Agency NBMA, Olorogun Dr Rufus Ebegba KSJI, has congratulated the Delta State Governor Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Oborevwori JP, on his victory at the Supreme Court yesterday, while also commending the 2023 Gubernatorial Candidate of the APC Senator Ovie Omo-Agege for his show of courage and sportsmanship.
Speaking in Abuja FCT, the APC chieftain expressed appreciation to the Judiciary for allowing his party-APC and its candidate exhaust all avenues while seeking redress, stating that the final view of the Nigerian Judiciary will always be respected and accepted.
" The Supreme Court ruling yesterday has successfully brought to an end the 2023 gubernatorial election dulisputes, and while it didn't go in favour of my party, the APC, I align with our candidate HE Senator Ovie Omo-Agege CFR Immediate-past Deputy Senate President, in congratulating His Excellency, Sheriff Oborevwori.
" I extend sincere appreciation to Senator Ovie Omo-Agege CFR, Rt Hon Friday Osanebi and the APC for their doggeddness and sportsmanship, even as we must now return to the drawing board, to ensure we fix up the party". He equally urged all APC members to remain steadfast ,support progress in the state and loyal to the Party.
Dr Ebegba, who chairs the Rufus Ebegba Centre for Leadership and Environmental Sustainability, urged Governor Sheriff and PDP not to be carried away with victory but rather understudy the issues raised by APC during the campaigns, and work out ways to effectively address them in order to Strenghten democracy in the state.
In his further statement:
" Deltans will be at the polls again to assess and make a choice as such, every Deltan should count and development in the state should be even and rapid," he concluded.
Olorogun Dr Rufus Ebegba KSJI will be in Asaba, as a Resource person in an event being organised by the Ministry of Police Affairs
