ASAGBA OF ASABA: DR EBEGBA EULOGISES TRADITIONAL RULER, COMMISERATES WITH ASABA INDIGENES.
Immediate past Director-General of the National Biosafety Management Agency NBMA Olorogun Dr Rufus Eseoghene Ebegba KSJI, has commiserate with the people of Asaba and Oshimili South Local Government Area, over the demise of their King and first class traditional ruler HRH Obi Prof Chike Edozien CFR, the Asagba of Asaba, aged 100 years, while eulogising the late monarch for living an exemplary life.
Dr Ebegba, who made the statement from his base in Abuja and circulated the same to media houses, stated that the life of the Late Monarch was one that satisfied various areas of life, with impacts.
Dr Ebegba said “On behalf of my family, the board of Rufus Ebegba Centre for Leadership And Environmental Sustainability, supporters and associates, I extend sincere condolences to the the Edozien family of Umuezei, indigenes of Asaba at home and abroad, and the people of Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State, over the demise of a first class traditional ruler, father, academic scholars and elderstatesman HRH Obi Prof Chike Edozien CFR, the Asagba of Asaba which occurred recently.
“ Obi Prof Chike Edozien CFR, lived an exemplary life, sustaining the prestige and respect of the traditional institution, as well as, satisfied many aspects of life with impacts spanning academics, politics, sports and social development.
“ The Asagba of Asaba lived to the ripe old age and would have been 100 in a few months, this is a development of great pride and honour to the people of Asaba, and even as we mourn his demise especially when his wise counsel would have been very helpful, we can celebrate his impact and the life he lived.
" Beyond his length of years, Obi Prof Chike Edozien CFR as a man of many parts cherished a life of peace and order, as well as maintained deep love for his people and heritage.
" I urge those left behind to uphold his values of positivity and advancement as the best way to sustain his memory”, Dr Ebegba concluded.
