HON. (ENGR) DORIS UBOH CONDOLES ONYECHE FAMILY AND AGBOR COMMUNITY.



The Executive Director Rural Electrification Fund and former Member of the House Of Representatives Hon (Engr) Doris Hon Doris O. Uboh MNSE , has commiserated with the Onyeche Family, and members of Agbor Community Union (ACU), over the sad demise of Chief Lawrence 'Larry' Egun Onyeche, the President General Of Agbor Community Union, in Asaba, recently.

Hon Uboh, in a statement released in Abuja, regretted the incident, describing it as unfortunate and saddening. 

She said, " I extend heartfelt condolence to the Onyeche Family and the Agbor Community Union (ACU) over the death of Chief Lawrence 'Larry' Egun Onyeche, President-General of ACU, very recently.

"The news of the demise of a brother and prominent son of Agbor Kingdom comes with sadness, and I share in their pain, seizing the moment to console family, friends and associates of the late President-General, including others affected by this unfortunate development.

"The reactions that have followed the wake of Chief Egun's demise indicate that he was a man loved and respected for his affinity to our people, culture and tradition, and as we mourn his death, we can preserve his memory by continuing the positive legacies he stood for.

" Once again, I commiserate with his family and those he left behind, praying that God Almighty grants us all the fortitude to bear this painful loss," Hon Uboh concluded.

PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS DORIS UBOH AS REF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY.

  Honourable Doris Olayemi Uboh MNSE has been appointed as the substantive Rural Electrification Fund Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.   The appointment, effective from January 23, 2025, is for an initial term of four years.   Honourable Uboh, a former member of the House Of Representatives, has been acting as the executive director Rural Electrification Fund ( ED REF) since March 2024 and will now settle into her role following her substantive appointment.   Doris Uboh is a New York-trained Electrical Engineer with years of working experience in the industry.  She was a member of House of Representatives, where she represented Ika Federal Constituency between 2007 and 2011.
