Love And Good Cheer Are The Essence of Christmas - HON DORIS UBOH.



As Christians all over the world commemorate the 2024 Christmas celebrations, the Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Fund and former member of the House of Representatives Hon Engr Doris Uboh MNSE has identified love and good cheer as the resounding essence of the celebrations.

In a statement from her media desk, Hon Uboh expressed appreciation to God Almighty, while highlighting the benefits of the love of God.

She said " The 25th of December is a day to commemorate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ,  as an expression and extension of the love of God.

" As I join Christians in Nigeria and around the world to mark this great milestone celebration, I take the opportunity to remind us about today's festivities. 

"The birth of Christ began the perfection of God's love and thus every time we commemorate Christmas it is important that we exemplify love to one another, with good cheer and genuine goodwill.

"Christmas is a permanent reminder to humanity to maintain a hopeful and cheerful disposition at all times, keeping a soft spot for the less privileged and downtrodden.
