We Are More United, On Course For Conquest in Delta State – Prince Fred Mordi, Treasurer Delta APC.

The Treasurer of the All Progressives Congress APC in Delta State, Prince Fred Mordi has reacted to issues within the party in the state, helping to clarify recent developments and explaining the reason behind steps being taken to stabilise the party.

In a telephone discussion with Roundtown Media, Prince Mordi, also of the Ubulu-Uku Royal family, expressed satisfaction with the direction the Senatorial district is being led, insisting it was a much-needed paradigm shift to properly prepare the party for the political battles ahead.

He said, " I am an official of the party in the state and a stakeholder in my senatorial district, and I am privy to 90% of the happenings. 

" In my personal opinion I can tell you that the direction we are being led towards remains the best and most secure for the party because it offers more.

" At the State level, the State Chairman is also not relenting to ensure that the party is organised and united and the evidence of that is in the ceaseless defections into the party in the state from high-profile Deltans."

In addition, Prince Mordi, a one-time Senatorial Chairman of the party in acting capacity for Delta North, allayed the fears of party men over the entry of new intakes, insisting that the party remained open to receiving all those who sought its refuge. 

He further stated "Delta State APC has always kept its doors open to anyone and everyone who desires associate and identify with the party as long as they follow the proper process".

Speaking further, Prince Mordi gave his opinion of the rumoured defection of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. 

He said, " Regarding the rumours of the Governor of Delta State, the Publicity Secretary has released the party's official position which I align with. 

" From conventional wisdom, irrespective of our collective causes, leaders also have a right to their individual opinions can be expressed, but not at the expense of the Party's integrity, as that will amount to a serious case of anti-party activitiy as in the case of Hon. Waive. 

However Delta APC today boasts of an array of eminently qualified chieftains and leaders who can run and win elections against candidates of the PDP, including the governor himself".

" I strongly believe that the present government of Delta State and the Governor have not done much in terms of governance and infrastructural development in the State. The high rate of kidnappings and insecurity, the high cost of living, and the government's inability to manage our commonwealth are also highlights of the failure of the Governor Sheriff administration in Delta state, which the APC will seek to exploit in 2027.

" But it is not just about that alone, as I speak to you, a lot of realignment by members of the opposition to defect to us is going, and the outcome will be monumental which will improve the party's chances.

Continuing, Prince Mordi explained "Even in Delta North, we are expecting a lot of the opposition members who are defecting to join us and on the 12th of April, the Senatorial Chairman will lead Delta North leaders and stakeholders to join the State Chairman to officially receive members of one of the strongest sociopolitical groups in Delta State, into the party. 

" Politics is a numbers affair, and we have a responsibility to give them and every party man a sense of belonging, because we are out for conquest as a political party, " the State Treasurer added.
