A Milestone Resolution: DNAA Commends Joint National Assembly Committee



A Pro-APC group based in Delta state has commended the national assembly joint Committee and Senator Ned Nwoko for their resolution to create a new state for the South-East Geopolitical Zone, explaining that it was a unifying and far reaching decision.

In a statement released on the 28th of October 2025 and signed by the group's leadership, the Delta North APC Advocates D.N.A.A asserted its satisfaction with the decision of the National assembly, especially as it would be a perfect way of equalising the nation.

The statement titled "A Milestone Resolution", reads in full:

The leadership of the Delta North APC Advocates (DNAA) on behalf of its entire membership spread across the 9 local government areas of the district, extends sincere commendation to the Joint National Assembly Committee on Constitutional Amendment for endorsing the creation of one state for the South-East region of Nigeria. 

This milestone achievement is a testament to the tireless efforts of Senator Ned Nwoko, who has led the renewed advocacy as a vocal and actively engaged advocate for Anioma State creation.

We applaud the committee's commitment to addressing the historical imbalance as expressed via this far-reaching resolution, which ultimately promotes political balance and fairness in the country's federal structure.

Similarly, this move is a clear indication of the APC Administration's readiness to positively attend to issues that have been exploited for political gains over the past 6 decades.

Senator Ned Nwoko's unwavering dedication to the creation of Anioma State as the Sixth State of the South East is a shining example of his deep awareness, legislative prowess and political willpower. 

His relentless pursuit of equity and fairness has inspired hope in the hearts of Delta North residents, who are ready to go all the way on the Anioma State Creation project and his superlative legislative antecedents, as established through his service timeline at the National Assembly.

We are proud of Senator Ned Nwoko's courageous stance on issues affecting the region, his ability to effectively dissect issues, as well as, galvanise support from stakeholders.

The Delta North Senator's leadership has been instrumental in bringing Anioma State creation to the forefront of national discourse, even as it now inches towards the anticipated reality.

The endorsement of the creation of one more state in the South-East is a significant step towards a brighter future for Anioma's quest for statehood and the entire region. 

DNAA is confident that Senator Nwoko will continue to champion the cause of Anioma State creation, working with the National Assembly and the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, ensuring that the region receives its rightful place in Nigeria's federal structure.

Iwaji: Gabriel Ogbechie, Jossy Honnah Pay Homage, As Obi Justin Chukwunonso Nwoko Fetes Idumuje-Ugboko.

PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS DORIS UBOH AS REF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY.

  Honourable Doris Olayemi Uboh MNSE has been appointed as the substantive Rural Electrification Fund Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.   The appointment, effective from January 23, 2025, is for an initial term of four years.   Honourable Uboh, a former member of the House Of Representatives, has been acting as the executive director Rural Electrification Fund ( ED REF) since March 2024 and will now settle into her role following her substantive appointment.   Doris Uboh is a New York-trained Electrical Engineer with years of working experience in the industry.  She was a member of House of Representatives, where she represented Ika Federal Constituency between 2007 and 2011.
