Nwaoboshi: This Loss Is Great And Personal – Ogbueshi Anselm 'Ayaka' Onianwa



The Assistant Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Delta State and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Affairs Ogbueshi Anselm 'Ayaka' Onianwa has lamented the demise of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, a two-term Senator and former Chairman Senate Committee on NDDC, which occurred over the weekend, describing it as a very personal and general loss to him, Delta North Senatorial District and Delta State.

In his reaction, Ogbueshi Onianwa expressed his disbelief upon receiving the news and his shock upon confirming its accuracy. He stated that Delta North Senatorial District and Delta State had lost a leader of men whose impact was far-reaching. 

Speaking further Ogbueshi Onianwa expressed " Senator Peter Nwaoboshi's demise is a sad, personal and collective loss that is being felt across the state. He was known for his strength and sagacity, having held different offices across the state and federal government through which he raised and mentored a lot of people.
" It is personal for me because he was my maternal kin and we shared a very cordial relationship until his sad death. He carried a presence that resonated strength and wisdom, as much as he was a go-getter and an achiever who had written his name in the sands of time.

The Delta APC Assistant Secretary further expressed condolences to the family, people of Ibusa, as well as the former Senator's supporters across the country, urging them to come together for a sense of shared responsibility in these trying times.

" I extend my sincere condolences to the family of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, the good people of Oshimili North, his supporters and all who mourn his demise, praying that he rests peacefully in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ", Ogbueshi Onianwa concluded.

PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS DORIS UBOH AS REF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY.

  Honourable Doris Olayemi Uboh MNSE has been appointed as the substantive Rural Electrification Fund Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.   The appointment, effective from January 23, 2025, is for an initial term of four years.   Honourable Uboh, a former member of the House Of Representatives, has been acting as the executive director Rural Electrification Fund ( ED REF) since March 2024 and will now settle into her role following her substantive appointment.   Doris Uboh is a New York-trained Electrical Engineer with years of working experience in the industry.  She was a member of House of Representatives, where she represented Ika Federal Constituency between 2007 and 2011.
