Boys Brigade Nigeria: Nsaka Elected Chairman Asaba Battalion Council, Promises Elevation
Founder and Chairman of NEC Foundation Ambassador Ebenezer Chukwugozim Nsaka (Onyèchukwugozi) has been elected to serve as Chairman of the Boys Brigade Nigeria, Asaba Battalion, promising to work towards the elevation of the association.
The election which took place on Sunday, 8th of February, 2025, was held at the Immanuel Anglican Church, Ogwashi-Uku shortly after the Church service which had earlier featured the rededication of the Battalion conducted by Rev. Dr Kester Ezeana the Brigade Chaplain, and Venerable Leonard Dunkwu the Vicar, with Ambassador Ebenezer Nsaka emerging as the sole and unanimous candidate for the Battalion's Chairmanship, after securing a nomination and an endorsement from all delegates at the election.
Ambassador Nsaka who served as Vice-Chairman of the previous Battalion's executive committee, in his speech, thanked the Brigade for the honour, describing it as a call to action in the vineyard of the Lord.
According to him " The Boys Brigade was founded on strong Christian values, discipline, obedience, service and faith in God. Our Mission remains to raise bots into responsible and God-fearing men, who will impact their families church and society positively".
Speaking further, the newly elected chairman encouraged the Brigade, advising them to remain focused, committed to spiritual growth and reflect the teachings of Christ.
Before the dissolution of the Immediate-past executive committee, Ambassador Ebenezer Nsaka representing the outgone chairman, had inspected a guard of honour alongside the chaplain of the Asaba Battalion and other leaders and patrons.
The emergence of the NEC Foundation chairman was heralded with shouts of happiness from the Brigade, indicating their acceptance of his leadership, which is to last for the next three years.
