Spark Political Movement Holds Inaugural Meeting, Sets Mobilisation Agenda, Endorses Tinubu/Oborevwori/Okowa, APC


The Spark Political Movement For Okowa has held its inaugural meeting at the country home of its founder and Chairman, Chief John Chidi Ejime, popularly known as Spark Billion, in Mbiri, Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State.


The meeting marked the formal commencement of the movement's activities and brought together members and supporters to deliberate on its vision, objectives and political direction ahead of the 2027 general elections.



Addressing members, Chief Ejime formally introduced the movement, explaining that its central objective was to identify and stand with the winning side in order to attract meaningful development to Mbiri community.



He said the movement had resolved to align with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, JP, and all APC candidates, particularly the party's Delta North Senatorial candidate, former Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, CON.



According to him, the decision was driven by the movement's desire to position Mbiri strategically within the political equation and maximise development opportunities.

“Our objective is simple: we want to stand with the winning side so that Mbiri can attract more development. We have therefore resolved to align with the APC and support President Tinubu, Governor Oborevwori, Senatorial candidate Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and all APC candidates. Our commitment is to deep and wide grassroots mobilisation to secure victory.”



Chief Ejime stressed that the movement would focus on sustained grassroots engagement, mobilisation and political participation, adding that its activities would be guided by the collective interest and development of Mbiri.

The Director-General of the Spark Political Movement, Comrade Victor Chiejine, commended Chief Ejime for establishing the movement, describing the initiative as timely and necessary for the community.

According to Chiejine, “Mbiri is ripe for a movement of this nature. We appreciate our Chairman for the vision and courage to initiate it. Now that we have a structure, every member must be committed and prepared to sacrifice his or her time and energy for the task ahead.”

He assured members that the movement would undertake programmes and activities capable of distinguishing it from conventional political organisations, while pledging to deploy his experience towards achieving its objectives.

Also speaking, Mr. Bama assured the gathering that the movement would receive appropriate recognition and cooperation from the APC party structure at various levels.

A major highlight of the meeting was the defection of some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Mbiri to the APC, a development which elicited cheers and excitement among members and supporters present.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Spark Political Movement formally endorsed the APC and all its candidates for the 2027 general elections, reaffirming its determination to embark on extensive grassroots mobilisation towards the party's success.

The inaugural gathering ended with a renewed commitment by members to work collectively towards the movement's stated objectives, with particular emphasis on political participation, unity, strategic alignment and the development of Mbiri community.
