BELUSHI NWAMAMA SETS ASIDE ₦500,000 TO DISCOVER NEXT-GEN MUSIC TALENTS
The search for the next generation of music stars received a major boost on Saturday, September 5, as General Manager of Trend 100.9 FM, Mr. Christopher Belushi Ashiedu, popularly known as Belushi Nwamama, sponsored and hosted the second edition of the INE Freestyle Battle.
The high-energy contest provided a vibrant stage for emerging rappers to showcase their lyrical dexterity, creativity and confidence, as young talents battled through freestyle performances before an enthusiastic audience. Beyond the excitement of the competition, the event offered participants an opportunity to gain exposure and take another step towards building careers in the music industry.
At the end of the fiercely contested battle, Warri Boy emerged champion, taking home ₦250,000, while Big Kilo finished second with ₦150,000. Da-Paravibe secured third place and received ₦100,000, bringing the total cash prizes to ₦500,000.
But for the young artistes, the reward goes beyond the money. The outstanding performers also stand to benefit from promotional opportunities and career support from Belushi Nwamama, aimed at giving their talents greater visibility and connecting them with a wider audience.
Belushi Nwamama reaffirmed his commitment to creating platforms where young people can discover, develop and showcase their talents, stressing the importance of giving emerging artistes opportunities to turn their creativity into sustainable careers.
The second edition of the INE Freestyle Battle therefore ended not merely as a music contest, but as a launchpad for young talents seeking recognition in an increasingly competitive entertainment industry.
