ASABA DIOCESAN YOUTHS INAUGURATE POLITICAL AND EMPOWERMENT COMMITTEE.


In the bid to improve relations between Anglican Youths and the Political Class, the Asaba Diocese of the Anglican Church via its youth arm, The Anglican Youth Fellowship (AYF) has inaugurated the Empowerment and Political Matters Committee.

The AYF Empowerment and Political Matters Committee was inaugurated by the leadership of the Dioceses with the AYF Asaba Diocesan Chaplain Rev Canon Gideon Elemokwu leading the gathering into inauguration prayer.

The ceremony was witnessed by the Vicar and Archdeacon of All Saints Anglican Church, Venerable Emmanuel Afamefuna, and other Anglican clergymen from across the Dioceses.

The inauguration took place during the annual " Beginning of the Year" youth conference, held in Asaba.

Members of the Committee include:
Ambassador Ebenezer Chukwugozim Nsaka – Chairman
Bro Gozie Onyekaonwu - Vice-chairman 
Bro Promise Egbo - Secretary. 
Alex Odukwe - AYF President and other Anglican Youths from across the Dioceses.

The leadership of the Dioceses charged the committee with understanding and working with the terms of reference in their appointment letters, noting that their activities are also a contribution to the body of Christ.

Iwaji: Gabriel Ogbechie, Jossy Honnah Pay Homage, As Obi Justin Chukwunonso Nwoko Fetes Idumuje-Ugboko.

The Group Managing Director of Rainoil Limited Dr Gabriel Ogbechie, and Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State (Office of the SSG) Sir Jossy Honnah were amongst the roll call of indigenes of Idumuje-Ugboko and guests who visited the Royal Palace to pay homage and celebrate with HRM Obi Justin Chukwunonso Nwoko, as he commemorated the 2025 Iwaji (New Yam Festival) on Friday, the 26th of September.  Speaking during his presentation to the Monarch, the Group Managing Director of Rainoil Limited Dr Gabriel Ogbechie who was visibly excited to be part of the celebrations expressed his deference and honour for the king, saluting him for his soft and gentle approach to leadership. PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS DORIS UBOH AS REF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AGENCY.

  Honourable Doris Olayemi Uboh MNSE has been appointed as the substantive Rural Electrification Fund Executive Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.   The appointment, effective from January 23, 2025, is for an initial term of four years.   Honourable Uboh, a former member of the House Of Representatives, has been acting as the executive director Rural Electrification Fund ( ED REF) since March 2024 and will now settle into her role following her substantive appointment.   Doris Uboh is a New York-trained Electrical Engineer with years of working experience in the industry.  She was a member of House of Representatives, where she represented Ika Federal Constituency between 2007 and 2011.
